My grandmother had always wanted to be baby to be a boy. Now that she was no more, I thought it was even important for her wish to come true.

Every day since the day of her death, I looked out my bedroom window and wished on the brightest star that my to come sibling will be a boy. On May 25th,my wishes came true. However, I learned something new this time.

I learned that no matter how much I wish on something, if an event is bound to take place, it will happen; no number of wishes can change that. So, in that way, I started believing that wishes do come a wish that came true short essay more and more, yet at the same time, I started wishing on objects that I wanted, or what I want something to turn out to be, rather than something that I want to happen.

I am currently 13, in 7th grade, yet I still believe that wishes do come true. People have tried to change it, but I just shrug it away.
